Never seen a bee like this before.... wonder what it is called? Zebra bee? Have you seen this species somewhere?
Your visit and comment means a lot, thanks for stopping by :)
I don't know what it is called but it is beautiful. That is an astounding photograph. Amazing colour.

@Gary: You are so sweet! It's nice to know someone cares! To me yellow is a happy color and this photo makes me feel good when I look at it. I use it as a wallpaper at the moment.... until the next great shot comes along!

38mm ... VERY nice shot ... Please thank the insect it did not fly away. I also tried a few shots, but I was not that, shall I call it, 'insect-friendly' :) ? You are definitely an animal lover.

@JeBeKe: Hi JeBeke! Yes you are right - I LOVE nature... forget about time when I'm outside! Thank you for your visit and comment!
I believe this is a species of fly. You could probably find an ID site on the net for your area, since most sites limit their range of ID due to differences in variety. In the US, you can view a similar fly here: http://bugguide.net/node/view/11314 Nice shot, and good find.
