@Sandrine: Hi Sandrine! Thanks!
Very unique and interesting capture. I agree with Gary. From the thumbnail I thought it a piece of jewelry, once I viewed larger (before reading what it is) I thought it may be the decorated end of a walking cane. It looks like it could be wood with tiny nails and a colorful material. Your creative capture got my imagination working. Wonderful.

@Barbara: Thanks B! Macro is a wonderful thing, one can get addicted! Love your comment and thanks for your visit!
I agree with all that has been said (even Barbara's "wooden" guess). I love the idea that art can be made with the most ordinary, simplest of things. Congratulations on this one, Ina.

I thought it was a piece of candy! We have such candy in Japan, handmade!But...never thought of a cable looking so attractive! You do have that third eye!!!! Gabriela

@Japanalia: Well thank you Gabriela! I saw on the Discovery channel, "How it's made", and they showed how the candy is made you are talking about.... lot of work, but fascinating!
How beautiful these useful things can be when a photographer's eye discovers them!
BTW "It's got a strange affect on me ... and I like it" was a world-wide tophit by Dave Berry (1962), but that was maybe before your time :)
