Jan van Riebeeck

I sat on his shoe so you can form an idea of the size of this thing! Massive!

This statue was sponsored by "Riebeeck Coffee" at the time... I don't think one can get this brand of coffee here anymore.

Now that is one cool statue. I have no idea who Jan van Riebeeck is (I may have missed that day in history class). :0) My dad would love to have photographed this scene! He loves photographing statues of people and animals!
