“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.”
~ Marcel Proust quotes ~
Today is my son's birthday - he is 20! Happy Birthday Arnold!
Your visit and comment means a lot, thanks for stopping by :)
What a wonderful portrait, Ina. It makes me smile. Those clear blue eyes, the knotted scarf with tiger dots, and the pose of a diva, great!

@givethemhell: Pose of a Diva is perfect! Like the way you describe her.
Oh God, she's too sweet, what a lovely, determined face...a lot of character in this little girl's face...she'll go places ;)

@Lorraine: I agree, she will definately go places - or what I normally say - she is the kind of girl who will be 'in the driving seat' of her life!
Great quote and a lovely sweet portrait. I think it was Annis Nin who said "We see things not as they are but as we are."

@Michael Skorulski: Great quote, I love it!
If she manages diplomacy as well as determination she will go a long way. Great portrait

What fantastic eyes she has! I love that your point of view is a tad lower than her eyes. Gives new perspective to little ones.

2 Mar 2008 7:03am
@Lorraine: I've added the note afterward! Thanks, it's very kind of you! I agree... it is a great age - he is as old as I am feeling!
Amazing view of the child! Cingratulations with your son (although it's late). I appreciate Proust's quotation, just this morning I attended a lecture at a congress in which the same has been put forward: don't get stuck to new methods, new products etc., but at look at them from a different angle, then you come to real discoveries and not "more of the same". (We learn that in photography too). Children can do this better than adults (see picture).
