They are the adults of the future....
We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today. ~Stacia Tauscher~
Your visit and comment means a lot, thanks for stopping by :)
This looks like a school gathering, with everyone wearing those blue-striped jackets in the British tradition. We don't have school uniforms over here.

@givethemhell: Yes, this was taken at my son's high school - they all wear school uniforms every day :(
An interesting image. I was just marveling at all the blond heads in the crowd. I like it because it is so unusual.

@Michael Skorulski: Thanks Michael! Here in South Africa the blondes are, can I say, quite common? See them a lot :)
Best Graduation photo I've ever seen ;)

Nice shot. I LOVE my teenager days .... ;)

That defintiely constitutes a crowd!! You know everybody- pushing- to- make- thier- presence- felt sort of a crowd!

So many children chatting away to each other, oblivious to the camera. A great natural shot Ina. The blonde haired children also stood out for me.

It looks like someone was trying to stand out from the rest of the crowd. The boy who is front and center, looking to the right, seems to be standing on something as he looks quite tall in comparison to the other students.

A very interesting crowd of young people!

So many blond heads, must be lots of Afrikaaners....

Great shot, the chaos of the picture works well as the eye tries to pick up a focal point, and everything gets taken in. Fantastic words as well, good stuff.

@Graham Russon: Thanks Graham!
This is one of those photographs that has a significance for almost everyone – thus, the excellent Comments already. Aesthetically, I love the sheer intensity of it and that almost the entire frame is filled with the children. I would try cropping off the green grass at the top and the below-shoulders at the bottom . . so that it becomes even more a sea of heads and faces!

@Ronnie 2¢: Good advise there Ronnie! I totally agree :)
Great capture Ina. There are so many expressions to look at. I like the angle!

A big crowd of young people, looks like fun! Was that at a special event?
13 Mar 2008 4:33pm
@MadScientist: No not really :) This was just after their break, waiting for some announcement to be made.
The picture is as confused as teenagers' minds can be, great!

I love this shot!

Very interesting capture Ina. It has me looking at each person and their expression. One, remembering I was that age once, a teenager and two, just like you stated they are the adults of the future. Excellent quote as well.
