Marabou Stork 1 of 2

A massive bird, large specimens are thought to reach a height of 150 cm (60 in), a weight of over 9 kg (20 lbs) and have a wingspan of at least 3.2 m (10.5 ft).

Amazing dance and pose for you. Great shot Ina. The first time I saw these birds was last year at a zoo. I found them so unique (and homely). Your image makes this one more attractive and interesting.

Great shot, like the way you've caught the moment. The bird is a bit too dead center for me, maybe a tighter crop on the road to the left.

@MJ: Thanks MJ. I know... their size is a bit intimidating, especially if you are short like me! Check out this side view, can you imagine what he looks like if his neck is extended!
