Is it trying to chase you away? Very interesting bird!

@vu@granby - Wolfgang: No Wolfgang! He was chasing my friend and then she threw a small nut to him - he is trying to catch it :)
A very impressive display from this large bird. A brilliant capture Ina.

@MaryB: Thanks Mary!
Certainly an impressive sight if such a birdy lands right before your feet and starts cawing at you :)

Wow... and what a pose!

Amazing dance and pose for you. Great shot Ina. The first time I saw these birds was last year at a zoo. I found them so unique (and homely). Your image makes this one more attractive and interesting.

He is dancing, your marabou stork. Is it a mating dance?

@givethemhell: Hope not so! I was the only female around :)
Great shot, like the way you've caught the moment. The bird is a bit too dead center for me, maybe a tighter crop on the road to the left.

@Graham Russon: Hmmm - I tend to agree, now that I look at it! Lot of dead space there, thanks Graham!
Was He attacking? Or scared? great shot!

great capture... when I was in Africa.. These birds impressed me with their size..and getting off the ground.. beautiful color

@MJ: Thanks MJ. I know... their size is a bit intimidating, especially if you are short like me! Check out this side view, can you imagine what he looks like if his neck is extended!
I love the action and motion of this as well as the wide angle.

What a frightening looking creature . . I like how the composition leaves him room to attack!
